CAVE PAINTING 2033
With the advent of digital realities, analogue art galleries are under threat of extinction, they might become what cave painting represent to us today i.e. Cave painting in the 21st Century of the Christian Era (XXI c.). Imagine someone in the distant or not so distant future discovering a gallery full of frescoes and being totally mesmerised by the ancestral feel.
This painting traces my 2023 exhibition in St Kilda ""VOYAGE_50505" at the Yoga Artful Gallery. I produced this painting while on a business trip to Singapore, I was then reading The Poetics of Space by Gaston Bachelard thus various references to elemental building components such as walls, doors, windows, spaces, staircases, light... Another author I was reading at the time is Geroges Perec's "An Attempt at Exhausting a Place in Paris" and "Species of Spaces and Other Pieces", both incredibly excruciating in exercising analytical observations of human behaviour.
